
Budva is a coastal town on the Adriatic Sea in Montenegro. The area around the city, along the coast, is known as the Budva Riviera. Riviera is the center of Montenegrin tourism, and known for its sandy beaches and night life. The greatest beach in Budva is Mogren.
Important tourist facilities are within walls from the 15th century, which surround the Budva's Old Town. The old city was badly damaged in the blasting earthquake in 1979. but is fully restored. The renewal of the Old Town lasted eight years.
Budva has changed masters several times, and the longest people who lived in the area of the city were the Venetians and Austrians, who left the city in 1918. Budva is about 2500 years old and is one of the oldest cities on the Adriatic Sea.
